Bangladesh Community in China Celebrates Bengali New Year 1420 With Enthusiasm

Bangladesh Community in China celebrated the first day of Bengali New year (1420) on 14 April 2013. To celebrate the occasion Bangladesh Embassy in Beijing organized a colorful cultural programme, traditional games and a prize giving ceremony of the Essay and Drawing Competition.

At the Bangladesh Embassy, the compound was beautifully decorated with brightly coloured traditional decorative arts. Children and adults wore their finest clothing, the ladies in Sarees and the men looked fantastic in their colourful Panjabees.

The "Boishakhi Food Fair" brought families and friends of the Bangladeshi community together to rejoice and enjoy delicious Bangladeshi dishes which brought the flavours of home to the Bangladeshi community in China.
